Break a window to escape.

The stillness and quiet were already making you a little uneasy, but being locked inside has you half panicked. Still somewhat caught on the idea that you shouldn't open a window, you opt to smash one instead. You use an ornamental paperweight to do the deed, throwing it cleanly through the glass. The window cracks and starts to fall apart, but the curious part is when those cracks reach the windowpane and wall; rather than stopping there, the wall cracks as well, slowly breaking and falling apart in a million deathly sharp two-dimensional pieces.

When the wall and window are gone, the image behind is very different from what you saw on the glass. Your outside world has been replaced by an intermittently shining hallway built of various bits of circuitry, electronics, and technology.
