You lay a trap at your feet, then place yourself on the opposite side of it from the monster. You pick up a stone, chuck it at your foe, and yell, "hey, stupid and terrifying, over here!" The cat immediately rises and notices you, letting of one fierce roar before rushing towards you and falling immediately into your trap. You smack the beast with a couple doses of tranquilizer (you always carry tranquilizer; never know when you'll need it) and he's down for the count. You wake up with the satisfaction of having gotten all the resources you were hoping to get.
