You walk down into the cave. The opening area is large and easy to navigate, but soon all traces of light are virtually gone and the ceiling has sloped down. You bump your head painfully a few times as you navigate through the dark, but you perservere until you finally bump into something which is not painful, but rather soft and hairy. "Shit," you say aloud, "I just walked into a damned bear."
"You sure did," the bear says back as he proceeds to maul and dismember you.
