Even with other pressing matters, you know none of it can go on without the ringleader. You plow through a horde of minor villains, but nothing will stop you from your objective. He's there, right in front of you, with his cape rippling around him and you're ready to strike when...you can't. You freeze in place and all of your powerful muscles amount to nothing. You know something about his abilities now, at least. It's a scrap of knowledge that doesn't help as the mindless minions bludgeon you to death.
