Catch the night flight to Cambodia.

Rather than take your chances here, you make for the airport and get a ticket for the next flight to Cambodia. By your reasoning, it's distant and obscure enough to keep you safe. You can also be close to wonders like Angkor Wat; who could ask for more?

You land safely in Cambodia several hours later and find a room for tonight (which is hard, given that you don't speak Khmer). After only a few short minutes in your room, there comes a knock at the door. Peeking out, you see a bald bhuddist monk, and open the door to him. When he looks up, however, his eyes don't say inner peace; they say murder, and they look familiar. "Found you," he says, and from those two words you can recognize the voice that was promising to kill you on the phone. A gun fires from beneath his robes as he keeps his promise.

You have to admire the dedication; he even shaved his head for you.
