For whatever reason, the best course of action seems to be trying to climb down into the sinkhole, using nothing but crumbling earth to support you on the ninety-degree angle. You get almost all of your body into the hole before you start to fall. You claw at the soil, but what little you manage to grasp comes away in your fingers as you tumble backwards. You fall for several long second before you finally hit the ground, landing uncomfortably on your keys.
