The next exchange happens in slow-motion. He dives out as you slam the chamber shut. You both lift your pistols with lightning reflexes and expert aim. The guns click simultaneously, bursting forth flame and lead. The bullets zoom past each other on their trajectories, each finding purchase in a foe's head.
