Call the police.

You hang up on your voicemail to give a call to the police. When you get an answer, you explain the strange morning you've had, giving special attention to the odd voicemail and the gunshot sound. "We'll have someone right over," she says. You thank the dispatcher and end the call. A few minutes later, the police arrive at your home and arrest you. Wait, weren't you supposed to be the good guy? What's all this about? You ask, but don't get any answers, just shoves and snide comments. Before long, you're sitting in a cell with your hands cuffed in your lap. You wake up feeling like a crimal, having been processed through the penal system like you were the scum of the Earth.

Millions of people each year suffer unjust imprisionment due to dream logic.
