That's tragically little, as most items on a space ship are fixed by necessity, but you manage a small pile of clutter that attackers could trip on. The door blasts open with an explosion, sending your clutter everywhere.

Nobody knows what the hell that means, so your team answers with open fire. Your phaser shots have negligible effect. Is that sound he's making laughter? The creature aims his own weapon, not at you, but at the glass separating you from the vastness of space. It fires with a hot sizzle, making a small hole which is quickly widening. Your only options are to try to take out your foe or save yourself.
