You use the last of your energy to wave at cars as they speed by. Most ignore you, but just as you think your strength is giving out, a windowless white van pulls up nearby. The driver is a bearded man with a lazy eye and wide-rimmed glasses. He talks with a bit of a slur when he says, "Looks like you ran into a little trouble. Would you like a ride?"
Ordinarily, this would be the point where you choose whether or not to go with him, but at this particular junction, you're dying, so you can't really decline the offer. The man is obviously an axe murderer, but the alternative is slowly bleeding to death on the side of the road.
You get in the van and of course the man does murder you, but he's very polite and friendly. He feeds you some stale chips and gives you a bottle of water and some kind conversation before splitting your head with an axe. Even the murder itself is preferable to the slow death you were enduring.
