You're seen immediately upon entering the emergency room, but the police are as anxious to see you as the doctors. They ask a series of questions that take all day, but you say nothing. Every answer is, "I don't know," or, "I can't remember." You ain't no rat. Eventually, they leave for the day, but you know they'll be back. Hopefully your boss, Anthony, has a lawyer ready for you.
"Hey," he says from the doorway. At first, you assume he's a hallucination from the pain medication, but he seems real and solid. "You got in a lot of trouble today, you know that?"
"Yeah," you answer, "I barely survived."
"No," says Anthony, "it's worse than you think."
"What do you mean, Tony?" you ask. It's only then that you notice the solitary tear on his cheek. "Tony?" you inquire, but he doesn't say anything. He can't speak. He only raises a silenced pistol to your face and ends your life.
