Upon hearing those words, you turn on your heel and march out. That bastard should never have gotten that title, and it's time for you to take it back from him. He meets you in front of the sheriff's office, as if he had been expecting you.
"I been expectin' you," he says as you approach. You can see the gleam of his silver star under the midday sun. He'll want to waste words, just like last time, but you're not interested in dying again. He opens his mouth to speak again and you draw your revolver, firing a shot directly at his heart.
Handsome Hank, the town's sheriff, falls down on his back and is still. You of all people know how easy it is to cheat death, though, so you walk forward to stand over the body and verify the job. There, in the middle of that star, dry from blood, is your bullet. You move to shoot him again, but this time he wasn't wasting words, only waiting for you to get close enough to guarantee the kill. He shoots you once in the knee, causing your shot to go wide, and when you drop down to his level, Handsom Hank puts his second bullet right between your eyes.
