As you float through the vast emptyness, you struggle to cling to the last remnants of life your cold body has managed to hold close. To put a point on the experience, it's impossible. Staying doggedly focused on surviving only drains the slivers of joy you could have harvested from this unfiltered view of the universe and leaves you to die that much faster. In this case, however, a faster death is not a blessing; you suffer just as much, only you miss what you could have appreciated in your final moments.
